FRANKFURT, GERMANY – Germany's overall printed circuit board revenue for 2011 rose about 4% over 2010, says ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems.

December sales were weak sequentially amid uncertainties in the global market, as well as the electronics economic development of some customers, according to the firm.

Total new orders in December were 7% below the same month last year, while the cumulative value is 17% percent higher compared with 2010.The last two months of the year saw a noticeable short-term increase in orders, caused by production back orders, as a result of the floods in Thailand, says ZVEI.
