TOKYO – The 90-day moving average orders at Japan-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers fell 30.6% year-over-year in November.
The book-to-bill ratio was 0.97, according SEAJ. A book-to-bill ratio of 0.97 means that ¥97 worth of new orders was received for every ¥100 of product billed for the month. A ratio over 1.0 is considered an indicator of future growth.
The three-month average of worldwide bookings in November was ¥80.9 billion, down 0.4% from the revised October level of ¥81.2 billion and down 30.6% from November 2010.
Worldwide billings were down 14.6% from the revised October figures and 22.3% from last year to ¥83.4 billion.
