DUBLIN, IRELAND -- According to a report by
Research and Markets, the US electronic connector industry including coaxial, cylindrical, rack and panel, pin and sleeve, printed circuit and fiber optic connectors, enjoyed revenues of approximately $4.2 billion in 2008.
The estimated gross profit for the industry was 36.4%.
Imports were valued at $3.5 billion and came from 95 countries.
Exports were worth $4.1 billion and were sold into 184 countries.
The total domestic demand for electronic connectors in 2008 was $3.6 billion.
