BANNOCKBURN, IL – North American PCB shipments in December were down 18.3% compared to the same month last year, according to IPC's findings in its North American PCB Statistical Program.
The book-to-bill ratio stands at 0.90, down 70 basis points from the previous month. Compared to November, December's shipments were up 1%.
PCB bookings in December were down 28.7% compared to the December of 2022 and were down 14.1% compared to November.
"PCB orders fell in the final month of 2023, dropping the book-to-bill to the lowest level since May 2023. Orders were down 10% in 2023," said Shawn DuBravac, IPC’s chief economist.
