MILPITAS, CA – The 90-day moving average billings of North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers worldwide fell 6% year-over-year in September. Sales totaled $1.95 billion, down 2.4% sequentially, the SEMI trade group added.
“Monthly billings of North American equipment manufacturers declined for the second consecutive month,” said Ajit Manocha, president and CEO of SEMI. “However, year-over-year billings show signs of bottoming, and recent capital expenditure increases for leading-edge logic will provide near-term billings growth opportunities."
