SAN JOSE — North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted $1.26 billion in orders worldwide in February, down 3.9% from a year ago.
The 90-day moving average basis bookings in February were 3.7% lower than the revised January 2016 levels, SEMI added.
The three-month average worldwide billings was $1.20 billion, down 1.3% sequentially and 5.9% from February 2015.
The book-to-bill ratio was 1.05, meaning that $105 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month. It was the third straight month the ratio was at or above parity, which is generally considered an indicator of future expansion.
