SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJR&D Circuits has acquired the test socket design and manufacturing division of Cascade Microtech. The division will now operate as R&D Interconnect Solutions.

Formerly known as Gryphics, the company is recognized for its Grypper line of high-performance pins.

With the acquisition, R&D Circuits added sales and technical support for both companies, including sales and applications offices located in South Plainfield, NJ, Allentown, PA, Brooklyn Park, MN, Mesa, AZ, Penang, Malaysia and Haifa, Israel.

R&D Circuits is a turnkey manufacturer of printed wiring boards for the ATE industry.

No financial terms of the purchase were disclosed.
