TAIPEI -- Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai) reported consolidated revenues rose 13.2% year-over-year to NT$382.6 billion ($13 billion) in October. Revenue was up 13.3% sequentially on higher demand for new iPhones and the iPad Air PC, the company said.

ATLANTA -- Researchers from Georgia Tech, the University of Tokyo and Microsoft Research have developed a novel method to rapidly and cheaply make electrical circuits by printing them with commodity inkjet printers and off-the-shelf materials. ST. LOUIS -- Viasystems reported net sales in its printed circuit boards segment for the third quarter of $256.8 million, down 4.7% from last year. The operating profit was $5.7 million, up from $3 million a year ago.
