BRUSSELS -- A pair of industry trade associations are teaming with an environmental consulting group to produce a series of workshops in Europe on conflict minerals next month.

EIPC and IPC, along with Environ UK, have designed a conflict minerals program to provide up to date information on:

  • EU conflict minerals legislation
  • Addressing customer inquiries
  • Best practices of leading industry companies
  • Impact of US legislation on EU companies

The workshops take place Feb. 2 at Espace Hamelin, Centre d'Affaires & Services, Paris; Feb. 4 at the Hotel NH München Airport (In conjunction with EIPC Winter Conference) in Munich; and Feb. 6 at Alpha in Woking, Surrey, UK.

The program is designed to present a strategic overview of how to minimize the costly and disruptive impacts of conflict minerals on operations, strategies and tools needed to implement effective and efficient conflict minerals programs, designing an effective legal strategy which could include contract requirements, and implementing supply chain strategies.
