Isola Suzhou Receives ISO/TS 16949 Certification

SUZHOU, CHINA – Isola Group says its laminate-producing plant here has received ISO/TS 16949 certification. It is the company's third such certification, an international quality standard for the automotive industry.

ISO/TS 16949 certification ensures suppliers meet specifications for the design and development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products. The standard encourages the use of a process approach.

Isola's materials are used in engine control units, chassis control, active safety, driver assistance, infotainment and passenger comfort and convenience.

The company will pursue ISO/TS 16949 certification at its two plants in Taiwan in 2014 to support the anticipated increase in demand for heavy-copper laminates and Astra MT.
