TAIPEI Compeq Manufacturing, Wus Printed Circuit, Unitech Printed Circuit Board, and Unimicron Technology expect strong sales for their high-density interconnection boards until the end of 2012, as a result of rollouts of new smartphones and tablet PCs, say published reports.

Compeq said its consolidated monthly revenue would hit a record high by the end of the year because of demand for HDI printed circuit boards. Wus has sold out its capacity for making the boards. Unitech’s monthly revenue from HDI sales is growing until the end of 2012, and Unimicron estimated production would run at full capacity this month.

The news was reported by DigiTimes.

All four firms experienced a seasonal surge last month, with Wus and Compeq seeing revenue at nearly four-year highs, while Unimicron had an 11-month high.

Compeq and Unimicron expect monthly sales growth until at least November because of the iPhone 5 and upcoming iPad mini.

Unimicron’s HDI production lines are running at 90% to 95% capacity, the firm says.
