Advanced Circuits Acquires UCI

AURORA, CO -- Advanced Circuits today acquired fellow PCB fabricator Universal Circuits for an undisclosed amount.

Maple Grove, MN-based Universal Circuits has supplied printed circuit boards to major military, aerospace and medical original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers for over 40 years. Its Minnesota facility meets certain Department of Defense clearance requirements and is noted for custom and advanced technologies that include a wide range of copper thicknesses and the capability to deal with conformal shapes and unique materials as well as large formats.

This marks Advanced Circuits' third acquisition in recent years. The company, which itself is owned by Compass Holdings, acquired Circuit Board Express in May 2009 and Circuit Express in March 2010.
