CHANGSU, CHINA -- Gold Circuit Electronics sustained a fire at its plant here, forcing production to stop for an as-yet undetermined period of time.

The disruption could lower the printed circuit board fabricator's revenues by up to 15% this month, the company said.

The affected lines built PCBs for notebook PCs, according to DigiTimes. Gold Circuit supplies an estimated 15% of the world's notebook PCBs, DigiTimes said. While the PCB shop will try to move production to its other factories in Suzhou and Taiwan, its possible competitors will pick up some of the lost capacity.

Gold Circuit had sales of $574 million in 2011, up 17% year-over-year and good its third best-ever year.
