TAIPEI – Nan Ya PCB reported July revenue rose 7.8% to NT$3.43 billion ($118 million) on higher demand for substrates for BGAs and CSPs.
The printed circuit board fabricator said revenue was up more than 7% sequentially. It was the company’s best sales month in nearly three years.
Year to date, sales are up 4.8% to NT$21.22 billion ($729.8 million). Nan Ya was the world’s 7th largest PCB fabricator in 2010, according to Dr. Hayao Nakahara’s NT 100, to be published by PCD&F later this month.
The company said shipments of substrates for plastic BGAs with flip chip packaging saw the most growth. The company also benefited from demand for chip scale package and flip-chip CSP substrates, primarily from smartphone manufacturers.
Revenue is expected to continue to grow in the third quarter, in part thanks to Intel, which makes up more than 60% to the firm’s sales.
