MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- Winscon Electronics has signed a letter of intent to acquire Uniwell Electronics for an undisclosed sum.

Both companies are fabricators of circuit boards and have plants in southern China.

Under the agreement, Winscon will acquire 100% ownership of all the shares and assets of Uniwell.

Hong Kong-based Uniwell is a bare board fabrication with plants in Dongguan and Jiangdu, China.

Winscon (Huizhou) is has a plant in Guangdong Province, where it builds flexible circuits for LG, Molex, Logitech and 3C, among others.

Winscon is owned by Nitan.
