MILPITAS, CA – It was a good year for
Lenthor Engineering. The company
reported shipments climbed 13%, and bookings rose 12.2% year-over-year in 2008.
For the year, gross profit increased 17.1%, while net income swelled 62.7%.
The increases reflect continued growth in both defense and medical sectors, offsetting fourth-quarter declines in the semiconductor and industrial markets. By increasing yields and implementing plant operating efficiencies, Lenthor managed to improve gross margins, despite increases in raw materials and labor costs throughout the year.
“Going forward, we believe we are well positioned, with a portfolio of strong customers, supplying the military, medical and commercial markets,” said Mark Lencioni, president and CEO. The company plans to continue its focus on yield improvement and plant efficiency in 2009.
