TAIPEI, TAIWAN – The year is looking brighter for Gold Circuit Electronics (GCE). It expects to ship 30 million notebook-use PCBs, an increase of 7.14% from 2008, reports DigiTimes.

The company’s Changshu plant is running at nearly full utilization, and order visibility has extended into April, according to DigiTimes.

Consolidated revenues for March are expected to climb 5% to 10% sequentially to $35.13 million. April revenues should either see a slight decrease or remain stable with March figures. First-quarter range of losses will decrease, on earnings from exchange rate differences and a drop in material prices, reports DigiTimes.

The company also has a new European customer, driving up orders, and HDI boards and rigid-flex PCBs are forecasted to spur growth for the second half of 2009, according to GCE.
