LEOBEN, AUSTRIA -- AT&S will expand production capacity for high-end AI IC substrates at its Chongqing, China, facility to support growing demand from a key customer tied to increasing AI computing requirements. The company said the investment, valued in the high double-digit million range, will be fully financed through long-term customer agreements.
The expansion is expected to strengthen AT&S’ position in high-performance computing and AI infrastructure markets, where advanced substrate technologies are becoming increasingly critical for next-generation processors and accelerators.
The company manufactures high-end IC substrates and PCBs for applications spanning mobile devices, automotive, aerospace, industrial, medical and AI computing markets. AT&S operates manufacturing sites in Austria, China, Malaysia and India.
