BANGALORE, INDIA – Nidec has established a new subsidiary, Nidec Advance Technology India, to expand its inspection systems' presence in the Indian market.

Recent years have been witnessing an increasing demand for enhancing the functions of Nidec’s semiconductor and printed circuit board package inspection systems, increasing the numbers of items for the development of embedded software, the company said, and after executing center of excellence contracts with Indian universities since 2022, Nidec has been utilizing talented software personnel to conduct basic research in collaboration with educational institutions.

By building the subsidiary in Bangalore, Nidec said it aims to build a system to develop and design products closer to the fields of those ordered by our customers.

"It is toward this end that we are planning to utilize abundant engineers to develop software for our company’s inspection systems, design jigs, develop test benches, expand our company’s inspection systems in the Indian market, and engage in many other business operations in order to better provide our technical services and support," the company said in a release.
