SAITAMA CITY, JAPAN – Meltex is building a new factory in Japan and increasing production capacity in Thailand, according to reports.

Meltex, which manufactures chemicals for the semiconductor and printed circuit board industries, including electroless copper and ENIG plating chemicals, acid copper plating brighteners, and etchants, expects to supply automotive customers, particularly the electric vehicle and hybrid car markets and tier 1 and 2 suppliers. The company also wants to grow its customer base in the electronics industry, particularly producers of power modules, sensors and other high-end items.

Meltex supports customers in Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Germany.
