CHANDLER, AZ – As a global manufacturer of critical materials for essential industries, Rogers is addressing the implications of Covid-19 at its global locations, said president and CEO Bruce Hoechner in a statement.

Rogers is maintaining business continuity, while prioritizing the safety of its dedicated employees.

Rogers’ China team has done an “outstanding job” managing through this crisis, Hoechner said. The company’s Suzhou factories resumed production on Feb. 10 and are now fully operational. The firm’s European, South Korean and US teams are managing through the spread of the virus, leveraging lessons learned in China.

The health and well-being of Rogers’ employees is the company’s highest priority. Over the past two months, the firm has been escalating safety precautions, such as expanding the travel ban, increasing disinfection protocols on site, practicing social distancing and implementing work-from-home policies. In addition, Rogers is extending greater flexibility in its attendance policy and providing monetary support for employees to care for primary dependents, including childcare coverage.

Rogers is balancing this abundance of caution with its commitment to business continuity. Across global facilities, the company has implemented contingency plans as needed to minimize disruption to customers. Customer service teams are committed to quickly communicating with customers to ensure timely information sharing. Similarly, the global supply chain team is in close contact with suppliers to address any materials or service impacts related to manufacturing and shipping.

Rogers is supporting critical infrastructure. The Elastomeric Material Solutions team produces materials used in Covid-19 test kits for the medical field. As many organizations are leaning more heavily on remote work environments, Advanced Connectivity Solutions enable wired and wireless technologies critical to constant connectivity. Additionally, Power Electronics Solutions materials are used in power modules that run commercial and consumer refrigerators, which are vital to preserving perishable food items.

Hoechner urges everyone to stay safe and exercise every precaution to protect the at-risk global population.
