SAN JOSE -- Sanmina today reported fiscal first quarter revenue of $2.19 billion, up 25.4% year-over-year.
For the period ended Dec. 29, the EMS and PCB fabricator said GAPP operating income was up 462% to $77.5 million. The company swung to a net profit of $38 million, versus a net loss of $154.9 million a year ago.
"Our first quarter financial performance reflects solid momentum across all of our end-markets," said Michael Clarke, chief executive. "We delivered revenue of $2.19 billion, up 16.6% sequentially, operating margin expanded 80 basis points from last quarter to 3.9% and earnings per share were up 40% to $0.83 compared to the prior quarter."
Sanmina guided for fiscal second quarter revenue of $1.9 billion to $2 billion.
