BEAVERTON, OR -- Polar Instruments named Dorine Gurney president, effective Jan. 3. She replaces Ken Taylor who is retiring but will remain with the company as a non executive director.

Gurney comes to Polar from Tektronix, where she was product marketing planner. She also held marketing and engineering roles with Mentor Graphics and Lattice Semiconductor. She has a master’s in electrical engineering from Rensselaer.

“I am excited to welcome Dorine to the Polar team,” said Taylor. “She brings a wealth of experience and a track record as someone who makes things happen. Her background from software engineering through silicon companies, and more recently in RF measurement brings a wealth of new experience into the Polar team.”
