JINTAN, CHINA – Schweizer Electronic signed an agreement with the government of Jintan, China, to set up a sustainable printed circuit board and embedding production facility for $180 million, according to published reports.

The firm expects sales to grow to up to $500 million as a result of the investment.

“Our target is to become the leading sensor and power PCB manufacturer for the megatrends of mobility and energy efficiency,” said Nicolas Schweizer, CTO and member of the board. “By this investment we are able to serve customer demands and participate in substantial market growth, while at the same time securing the long-term viability of our production site in Schramberg.”

Schweizer focuses on e-mobility, advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving.
