HONG KONG -- The HKPCA & IPC Show announced a record size and attendance for its latest event earlier this month.
Attendance at the Shenzhen trade show reached nearly 41,000 for the three-day show, while the number of booths (2,379) and 531 exhibitors also set records for the event's 14-year history.
Since first staged in 2002, the HPKCA Show, which is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association, IPC and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Sub-council (CCPIT-GZ), has grown year into the industry’s largest international printed circuit board show outside Japan.
In a press release, exhibitors Gilbert Siaw, deputy managing director of Hitachi Chemical (China), described the show as “an excellent platform to show our strength to others and to promote our products to different people, especially to new clients. We successfully extend our brand name to 2nd tier or even 3rd tier districts or regions."
Manfred Ludwig, director – operations China of Gardien (Kunshan) added, “There are so many exhibitors and many visitors – it is a huge increase from last year. I only arranged one day for my visit, which was clearly not sufficient as I didn’t realize the show scale is so big.”
This year's event, which took place Dec. 2-4, included a special conference for on environmental protection and energy conservation, intelligent automation, and market trends. Its presence helped boost total conference attendance to 2,500, show organizers said.
The 2016 show will take place at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on Dec. 7-9.
