WALLINGFORD, CT – Amphenol’s interconnect products and assemblies posted second quarter 2015 sales of $277.9 million, up 5.1% year-over-year.
For the first six months of 2015, the segment’s sales were $548.8 million, an increase of 8.2% compared to the same period in 2014.
Amphenol’s total sales for the second quarter were $1.351 billion, up 2.8% year-over-year.
For the six months ended June 30, sales were $2.679 billion, up 4.6% compared to the same period in 2014.
The company’s second quarter net income was $180.6 million, up 2.38% year-over-year.
For the first six months, Amphenol’s net income was $362.4 million, an increase of 7.8% compared to the prior-year period.
“For the second quarter 2015, we are pleased to report sales of $1.351 billion, up 3% in US dollars and 7% in local currencies, a strong performance,” said Amphenol president and CEO R. Adam Norwitt. “Our sales growth was driven by increases in the automotive, mobile device, industrial, information technology, data communications and military markets.”
Amphenol expects third quarter 2015 sales in the range of $1.435 billion to $1.475 billion. For the full year 2015, the company expects sales in the range of $5.54 billion to $5.62 billion.
Amphenol designs and manufactures electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, interconnect systems, antennas, sensors and sensor-based products and coaxial and high-speed specialty cable.
