SAN JOSE, CA – Cadence Design Systems has named John Bruggeman senior vice president and chief marketing officer. He will report to Lip-Bu Tan, president and CEO.

Bruggeman will oversee the company’s worldwide marketing strategy and integrated market initiatives, including corporate, strategic and product marketing activities.

Prior to joining Cadence, he held senior marketing positions for companies including Mercury Interactive, Netscape and America Online. Most recently, he served as chief marketing officer at Wind River Systems Inc.
