ATLANTA -- PCD&F this week has begun to publish results of a survey of more than 450 designers on how they use and think about various CAD tools.

The full report will be published when the magazine next week in the December issue of PCD&F.

The initial publication of results is available at Board Talk, the industry bulletin board, at theprintedcircuitboard.com.

A total of 451 designers completed the survey, which looked at the type of CAD tools users prefer and how they use them, and gauged user preferences for everything from design resuse and constraints to autorouting accuracy and speed, and the UI.
