SCHAUMBURG, ILIron Atom has certified Amazon Web Services "GovCloud" for use with its automated printed circuit board DfM web offering.

Iron Atom uses on-demand instances of Amazon’s AWS cloud computing platform to process its customer’s data. AWS GovCloud is designed to allow US government agencies and customers to move more sensitive workloads into the cloud by addressing their specific regulatory and compliance requirements. The framework adheres to US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.

“The ability to properly handle ITAR data is critical for us in the North American market. Although our standard service has been live for several months now, integration to the AWS GovCloud required a separate interface. With ITAR processing in place, I’m very pleased to announce full operational status for ‘DFM On-Demand,’ ” said Iron Atom president Iain Wilson.

The DFM On-Demand service uses Ucamco’s Integr8tor to perform PCB data processing.
