LONDON – Component supplier Würth Elektronik eiSos will integrate its component library with CadSoft Computer's Eagle PCB tool, easing printed circuit layout.
The library contains passive components including cable ferrites, SMD ferrites, inductors, transformers, RF components, varistors and shielding materials.
“The availability of component libraries enables engineers a quick realization reference guide of a circuit board layout," said Oliver Opitz, Würth team leader of strategic product development. "Without those libraries we would waste half our time in creating component-compatible soldering pads while doing the PCB layout. That means we as engineers can concentrate ourselves and our resources on the actual layout.”
“The Würth library can be downloaded and integrated into Eagle, and is a ready to use tool to optimize our customer's productivity. Furthermore it will be included in the next Eagle release that we are currently working on,” said Thomas Liratsch, General Manager of CadSoft Computer.
