Intercept Joins IPC-2581 Consortium

ATLANTA – Intercept Technology today became the latest company to join a new consortium of PCB software suppliers, fabricators, EMS companies and OEMs dedicated to making IPC-2581 the industry standard for electronics data transfer.

An IPC-2581 output will be added to Intercept’s suite of ASCII manufacturing output options within the next year, the company says. In a statement, Intercept said it supports vendor collaboration for the promotion of improved design and manufacture practices.

The IPC-2581 Consortium is a group of PCB design and supply chain companies whose collective goal is to enable, facilitate and drive the use of IPC-2581 in the industry. Its website is www.ipc-2581.com.
