SAN JOSE, CA -- The Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Consortium announced it has appointed Cadence president and CEO Lip-Bu Tan to its board of directors to serve the organization through the spring of 2010.

"With our connections to the semiconductor industry and the greater electronics design community becoming more vital than ever, it is critical that member companies of the EDA Consortium continue to come together to ensure that the collective needs of the industry are effectively represented."
