CHICAGO -- EDA tool developer KiCAD is sponsoring a users conference here next month to share experiences with tools, methods and successes in manufacturing, research and business.
KiCon 2019 will take place Apr. 26-27 at mHub, in the River West area of Chicago.
Keynote speakers include Wayne Stambaugh, project lead for KiCad; Michael Ossmann, founder of Great Scott Gadgets, a maker of open-source RF hardware; Dave Vandenbout, creator of KiCost, KiField and SKiDL, and former head of XESS, an FPGA board company; and Maciej (Orson) Sumiński, a programmer at CERN and hobbyist product developer.
KiCAD is a PCB CAD tool commonly used by startups and hobbyists.
