IMS Launches 20-GHz Temperature-Variable Attenuators

IMS AV-0607-C temperature variable attenuators for RF power amplifiers, broadcast equipment and multiband communication systems feature low-noise, thin-film construction.

Reduce attenuation with increasing temperature, helping offset PA or LNA gain loss at higher frequencies. Offer TCA from 10MHz to 20GHz, for simulating impacts on signal attenuation and gain. Attenuation ranges from 2-9dB and power ratings of 160-200mW, the 50Ω SMT TVAs fit compact 0607 packages. Operates between -55° to +125°C, they maintain ±1.0dB attenuation accuracy from DC to 15GHz and ±1.8dB or better to 20GHz. Can be used in aerospace and defense applications, including radars and satcom systems.
