NESS ZIONA, ISRAEL – Nano Dimension continued to generate sales in the third quarter, reporting revenues of $143,000, down 4.7% sequentially. The maker of 3D printers had no sales in the third quarter of 2016.

MUNICH – Some 44,000 visitors from 85 countries walked the halls of Productronica this month, up almost 20% compared to the previous show two years ago.
The event, which was collocated for the first time with Semicon Europa, included 1,200 exhibitors from 42 countries. The focus was on the Internet of Things, as well as big data and miniaturization.

The emphasis on fabrication lessens by the year at Productronica. Fifteen years ago, the fab side occupied more than two full halls at the Munich trade show. This year, there were perhaps fewer than 40 standalone exhibiting companies, even including some vendors that piled into their local distributors’ booths. The big Japanese and Taiwanese players were not present. Insofar as fabrication is concerned, Productronica has turned into a regional show.

JINTAN, CHINA – Schweizer Electronic signed an agreement with the government of Jintan, China, to set up a sustainable printed circuit board and embedding production facility for $180 million, according to published reports.
