ATLANTA – As demand for electronics and electronic components grows in 2021, it is anticipated supply chain pressure will build, says ECIA. Recent ECIA research and analysis has identified extending lead times for electronic components. However, specific component sectors will see greater challenges as the ability of suppliers to increase production is limited by capacity constraints.

MCLEAN, VA – December orders of manufacturing technology totaled $456.7 million, up 17.6% year-over-year and nearly 40% sequentially, according to The Association for Manufacturing Technology.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The worldwide tablet market had an outstanding fourth quarter, with 19.5% year-over-year growth and shipments totaling 52.2 million units, according to International Data Corp. Impacted by the pandemic, the tablet market reached shipment levels not seen since the fourth quarter of 2017 when the total was 49.9 million.
