FRANKFURT -- German printed circuit board manufacturers' sales rose 4.2% year-over-year in May as the sector enjoyed its strongest month in three years.

SAN JOSE, CA – The worldwide 90-day moving average orders at North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers rose 10% year-over-year in June.

SAN JOSE, CA – First quarter electronic design software sales and service revenue increased 4.6% to $1.75 billion, the EDA Consortium said today. Printed circuit board and multichip module revenue was up 1.6% year-over-year to $159.7 million. The four-quarters moving average, a measure of the past year's growth, was up 5.4%.

NEW YORK -- Semiconductor analyst Mike Cowan upped his forecast for this year's global semiconductor sales to 9.9% growth after greater-than-expected May sales.
