STAMFORD, CT – In the second quarter, worldwide server shipments grew 4% year-over-year, while revenue declined 3.8% compared to the same quarter in 2012, says Gartner.
SAN JOSE, CA – North America-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted $1.27 billion in orders worldwide in July, up 3.1% year-over-year, says SEMI. The three-month average of worldwide orders in July was down 4.6% sequentially.
The book-to-bill ratio was 1.0, meaning that $100 worth of orders was received for every $100 of product billed for the month.
The billings figure for the month was $1.27 billion, down 12% year-over-year, and up 4.6% sequentially.
FRANKFURT -- German-based PCB manufacturer revenues were flat sequentially in June, according to the Central Association of PCB and Electronic Systems. Orders were down 7% from May, but up 33% from June 2012.
