LONDON - Copper prices have risen to a new high this week. In addition, oil prices were close to a record. Other metals, like gold also hit record peaks.

The LME copper for three-month delivery hit $8,280 / metric ton this week, its highest level since early October 2007.

Analysts said that inventories are getting tighter and they expect prices to continue to climb.

The average price of copper clad laminate held steady in February, but with the price of copper on the rise, CCL prices are likely to follow.

Increases in copper metals pricing will take a few months to be reflected in the price of copper clad laminate. Increases in the cost of petroleum products may also impact resin costs.
