HUDSON, NH – Vulcan Flex Circuit Corp. has obtained MIL-P-50884D Type 4 adhesiveless material certification.  The certification allows Vulcan to manufacture flex circuit and rigid-flex circuit boards that are constructed with adhesiveless laminates.
 
“This certification represents another milestone in the planned progression of our company’s development and will allow us to participate in ever higher technology applications,” said Michael Quick, CEO. 
GHENT, BELGIUM – UCAMCO has appointed Pluritec France SARL to manage its sales and marketing activities in France. Pluritec will be responsible for the full range of UCAMCO products, including the SilverWriter and Calibr8tor series of laser photoplotters.
 
UCAMCO’s sales engineer in France, Denis Morin, will work with Pluritec to provide technical sales and application support. Hardware and software support will continue to be handled from UCAMCO’s headquarters.

TAIPEI – Taiwan’s Intellectual Property Court has declined a preliminary injunction request by Isola Group against Taiwan Union Technology Corp. over the latter’s alleged patent infringement.

TAMPA, FL – Leader Tech announced that work has been completed on the expansion of its Phase II, Global EMI Shielding Technology Center.
 
The expansion increases manufacturing capacity of the company’s Slot-Lok line of board level shields. In addition, a press department will allow customers to create near-custom shield solutions using standardized manufacturing methods. The company is developing similar capabilities for its growing standard and custom precision beryllium copper shielding products.
 
Leader Tech’s staff has expanded as well. The company has hired three domestic sales representatives, a regional sales engineer and a 45-press manufacturing line.
 
Harthun Associates will handle the Rocky Mountain region, Win-Cor Electronic Sales for the New York/New Jersey Metro area and Admor Sales will cover Southern California. Eric Arroyo has been hired as the regional sales engineer for the Midwest region. He is based in the Chicago metro area.
REDMOND, WA – Prototron Circuits has appointed William Thoroughman to manage sales in Oregon. He has held key sales positions throughout his career. Prior to joining Prototron, he was the major account manager at Foxconn.
 
“Oregon is an extremely important region for Prototron, and we looked long and hard to get the best person possible to handle it for us,” said Russ Adams, West Coast regional sales manager.
