MELVILLE, NY -- Park Electrochemical today reported net sales for the period ended March 3 of $42.7 million, down 2.3% year-over-year.
Net income for the quarter was $4.1 million, up from $3.2 million in 2012.
Income before special items was $4.5 million, up from $3.9 million last year. The printed circuit laminate manufacturer took pretax charges of $608,000 in connection with the closure of its Nelco Technology (Zhuhai FTZ) facility and a Park plant in Connecticut.
Park’s net sales for fiscal 2013 were $176.4 million, down 8.7% from fiscal 2012. Net income was $17 million, down from $23.4 million a year ago. Net earnings before special items was $20.3 million, down from $23.2 million in 2012.
