Bromborough, UK – Itrimex has signed an agreement with metal recycling and refining company Metallo-Chimique N.V.

Itrimex’s patent-pending process enables recovery of precious and base metals from waste circuit boards.

Metallo will cooperate with Itrimex in an initial six-month development program aimed at optimizing the current process technology and demonstrating technical and commercial feasibility on a full production scale.

No financial terms were disclosed.

Itrimex is a joint venture between Ultromex and ITRI Innovation. It was established to commercialize the research and development work the companies had undertaken in response to growing legislative pressure, particularly in the European Union, to increase the recycling of end-of-life electronic scrap.
