BANNOCKBURN, IL IPC this week named Steve Pudles chairman of the 55-year-old trade group, succeeding Bob Ferguson, who completed a two-year term.

Pudles is CEO of Spectral Response, an EMS company based in Atlanta. He has been on the IPC board since 2000.

Marc Peo, president of Heller Industries, has been named vice chairman, and Joe O’Neil, president of board fabricator/EMS provider Hunter Technology is now secretary/treasurer.

Also named to the board are: Mike Carano, director of global business development & strategic marketing, OMG Electronic Chemicals, who previously served on the board from 2004 to 2010.

Bob Neves, chairman and CTO of Microtek Laboratories; Tony Zhou, president of RayVal (Suzhou) Technologies; Bob Black, president and CEO of Juki; Rex Rozario, executive chairman of Graphic Plc; Don Schroeder, former president of CTS Corp.

Leaving the board are ex-chairman Ferguson, and Peter Bigelow of IMI Inc.

The new board is in the final throes of deciding on IPC's next president. A decision is expected in March.
