ILAN, TAIWAN -- Unitech Printed Circuit Board will begin the build-out of its newest fabrication plant here in August, the company said this week.

The plant is scheduled to come online in November, the company said.

The new Ilan site will have a reported capacity of two million HDI boards, slated for handset use.

Shipments of HDI boards will account for 45% of the company's total PCB shipments in 2011 compared to 25% in 2010, the company estimated.

Unitech is coming off an 6% year-over-year jump in revenue during the March quarter. The PCB maker reported sales of NT$3.67 billion (US$126.7 million).
