ZHONGSHAN, CHINA – Viasystems suffered a fire at its plant here, halting production for an as-yet-to-be-determined time.

No one was hurt and production equipment was unscathed. Power at the 800,000 sq. ft. factory remains out at this time.

The company said the fire started in an electrical distribution hub, the company said.

Viasystems, one of the world's five largest printed circuit board makers, has plants in China and the US.
