TAIPEI – PCB makers are reporting tighter capacity as notebook and optoelectronics board demand increases, and the fourth quarter doesn’t show signs of stopping, reports DigiTimes.
Demand exceeding capacity has been reported by Tripod Technology, Taiwan PCB Techvest, Dynamic Electronics, HannStar Board and Gold Circuit Electronics, says DigiTimes.
HannStar has seen a utilization rate of 95% and expects it to reach 100% during the fourth quarter. Notebook order visibility has been extended to November.
Tripod and TNT plan to ramp up several production lines to meet the increase in optoelectronic board demand.
