XIAMEN, CHINA – Hongxin Electronics Technology Group has announced a CNY1.5 billion ($207.6 million) deal to provide AI computing servers to China's Qianyang government in northwestern Gansu province.
According to a Yicai report, Gansu Suihong Artificial Intelligence Technology, a subsidiary of the Chinese PCB manufacturer, will provide Qingyang Jinghe Cloud Computing Technology with AI computing servers in three separate installments. The first batch, worth CNY500 million ($69.2 million), should be delivered by the end of June and the other two installments are expected to be delivered within the next 12 months, Hongxin said.
After joining the AI computing sector last year, the segment accounted for nearly half of Hongxin's revenue in the first quarter, with the CNY760 million (USD105.2 million) representing 46% of the company's total revenue for the quarter.
