TAOYUAN, TAIWAN – Unimicron has announced the investment of 1.26 billion baht ($366 million) into a new Thai subsidiary, becoming the latest PCB fabricator to announce a move into the country.
According to the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association, Unimicron joins the following companies in the global PCB industry to announce new factories in Thailand:
- Taiwan-funded companies investing in Thailand: Dynamic, Taiwan Hong, Taiyao, Lianmao, Huatong, Xinxing, Huihe, Trident, Jingpeng, Jingguo
- Mainland A-share listed companies: Hushi Electronics, Aoshikang, Zhongjing Electronics, Zhongfu Circuit, Sihui Fushi, Huazheng New Materials
- Hong Kong-funded companies: Kingboard Kehui
- Japanese companies: CMK, Fujikura, Kyoden, Mektec, MGC Mitsubishi Gas
- Thai PCB companies: KCE, Amallion, Circuit Industries
- American companies: Vecto Fabrication, Gravitech
- South Korean companies: Samsung Electro-Mechanics
- German companies: Starteam Global
