ARLETA, CA – PCB and semiconductor chemical supplier Miles Chemical will pay $45,000 in fines for violating US toxic chemical reporting rules.
Miles Chemical failed to report the import of two substances required by the TSCA chemical data reporting rule, according to reports. The CDR rule requires firms that manufacture or import chemicals in volumes of 25,000 pounds or more to provide reports every four years, the most recent occurring in 2016.
Miles Chemical imported substantial amounts of two substances between 2012 and 2015 and didn’t provide timely documentation to the EPA.
