EXTON, PA -- AGC is significantly expanding its production capacity of proprietary fluorinated resin by establishing a new facility at its plant in Chiba, Japan.

The new production facility is set to begin operation in September.

The material, branded as Fluon+ EA-2000, is used primarily in high-speed, high-frequency printed circuit boards, which will see a sharp increase in demand as 5G network technology becomes widely available by 2020. It is designed for coating and protecting printed PCBs and is said to reduce transmission losses.
